| Interesting how being an only child, I had become very good at enteraining myself... and now 20 or so years later... I've become so unaccustomed to being alone...

| Lesson Learned: this is real life.. you don't get a do-over if you screw-up.... so do it right the first time...

| DP and Gonzoine are chatting across the table at potluck, Gonzoine says "What would you do if you heard the world was to end in fifteen minutes?" "I'd screw anything that moves," says DP, "what would you do?" Gonzoine says "I'd stand very still."

| so i had this past saturday off and it felt great to finally get to go back to church again.. although it felt kinda empty due to missing people.... that sunday i was on call and met my new attending... so there was a little bit of confusion about pre-rounds but we finished our work and headed into the workroom where we were supposed to meet the attending... as i walk in, i see this cute little ddang kong sitting there, prolly about 5'1" - 2" roughly about 100 lbs, face looks about 18.. i really didn't pay much attention to her and wrote off her long white coat as resident from another service.... but to my surprise... my intern tells me that our new attending is Dr. Nguyen!!... she's actually pretty awesome... rounds are done before i know it... she just wants to know what's acutely keeping each pt. in the hospital and lets you manage simple chronic issues... the only problem is when i look at her.. my mind processes "resident" so i treat her like one.. then it clicks... awww crap... i'm talking to my attending... apparently medical school and residency doesn't age everyone.... that's a little disheartening, especially when i walk into the unit and hear one of the nurses whisper "we have doogie howser in the house" and look up to find her staring at me...
